THE HISTORY OF AMORINA

Since 1982, when four years of work in a Portuguese shipyard was completed, Amorina has sailed on all the seas of the world. In 1982 Amorina participated in the Cutty Sark Tall Ship Race. In 1984 Amorina was one of the main attractions in The Return of the Tall Ships in Quebec, Canada where thousands of visitors came aboard every day. For a year and a half from 1987-88 Amorina participated as the largest ship in a regatta sailing from London to Australia via Brazil and South Africa, to celebrate Australia’s bicentennial. The First Fleet Re-Enactment Voyage to Sydney gave Amorina nicknames like "The Tilting Hilton" and "The Love Boat" thanks to the high standards and the great ambience on board. Amorina is not a luxury cruise ship, but you will enjoy a standard and a level of comfort aboard that few sail ships can offer.
